Coliban Water System renewal works
August 24, 2015 in NewsDuring July and August required renewal works were delivered on sections of the Coliban Channel adjacent to the Leanganook Track. Special thanks to Coliban Water for delivering the works as efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to Goldfields Track users. Even more special thanks to the landowner that allowed track users to divert through their property during this time.
As a result of the works some sections of track were damaged by the need for heavy machinery to access the channel. The areas of damage are on the track from North Harcourt Road to near Springs Road. Track users are advised to take care when using this length of track. There are areas where you may need to walk/ride to the side of the track to avoid very wet and muddy sections. This length of track will be repaired by the contractors but they need to wait for the area to dry out before these repairs can be done. Please be patient during this time, and treat those sections of damaged track with additional care and respect.
