Welcome to Bonan Youang and the Goldfields Track

Wadawurrung People welcome you to Bonan Youang (Mount Buninyong), which is on Dja, the traditional lands and waterways of Wadawurrung People, who have been a part of this cultural landscape for countless generations.

Western knowledge systems use science to try to prove if things are true. It often involves using technology to do an experiment and test a hypothesis. Learning is done at schools, at desks, and usually indoors. Sometimes the information is closely guarded by companies, governments or individuals and requires a payment or a permission to access it. Sometimes the idea or inspiration to do modern research comes from traditional knowledge, but it is rarely acknowledged in a bibliography as a valuable source.
