Welcome to the Dry Diggings and the Goldfields Track

Djaara (Dja Dja Wurrung People) welcome you to the Dry Diggings which is located on Djandak, the traditional lands and waterways of Djaara, who have been a part of this cultural landscape for countless generations.

Our Ancestors looked after Djandak, and we are bound to look after it for the next generation. The impacts of colonisation have had devastating impacts on traditional life but have not diminished our commitment to care for Djandak, Culture, and community. We are Djaara, ‘Balaki Wuka‘ (giving to community). We continue to care for Djandak and are proud of our achievements.
