Goldfields Track closures as of April 2026

The following sections of the Goldfields Track are currently closed and require a detour:

South of Specimen Gully Road in Harcourt, due to HVP Plantations spraying for weeds. This section of the Track will be closed until the 31 May 2026. For more information please visit: https://www.hvp.com.au/operations/castlemaine-2026-autumn-weed-control/

Leanganook (Mount Alexander Regional Park) is closed until advised due to the fires in January 2026. Please use the bike route of the Goldfields Track, which runs around the base of the Mountain and can be found on our website here.

North of Hepburn Springs: the Blowhole to Hepburn-Newstead Road, and Hepburn- Newstead Road to Golden Spring. Please visit the Parks Victoria website here for more information.

The Goldfields Track Committee pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
