Plaistow offers gracious hosted bed and breakfast accommodation for up to seven guests, depending on the combination of couples and singles.
Hosts Lilian and Peter are great advocates of the Goldfields Track and can share plenty of stories and information to ensure you maximise your visit.
Located about 25km from the Track, they can help out with pick-ups and drop-offs, and can accommodate both walkers and bike riders.
Plaistow is an 1850’s heritage property, surrounded by 3 acres of gardens and part of a working farm (cattle and angora goats). The house and sheds contain an extensive collection of antiques and curios, and exude feelings of warmth and happiness which never fails to evoke nostalgia and a relationship to a bygone era.
To help get you on your way in the morning, a full cooked breakfast is included in the tariff, and they can help organise luncheon packs if required for your group.
If some members of your group are not walkers/riders, or you are travelling with kids, Plaistow is a family friendly property. The kids can play in the toy room or join in with the farm activities –collect the eggs, milk the goats, or just enjoy the wonderful gardens. The villages of Newstead, Maldon and Castlemaine, and all that they have to offer, are only a short drive.
