Did you know Alpacas are only shorn once a year?   Bred for their luxurious fleece, you can view this extraordinary, annual event at Creswick Woollen Mills on 28 September.

Take a break from your Goldfields Track adventure to visit the Creswick Woollen Mills, the last remaining coloured spinning mill of its type in Australia.

View the shearing at 2pm, pick up some beautiful woollen products, and make sure you take a tour of "A Very Fine Yarn".  Their new, interpretative experience explaining the journery of fibre; from the alpacas' back to the shelf.
